Leah Simeone is an associate of Wood Gold LLP and practices Family Law, including Collaborative Family Law, and Wills.

Leah has developed a broad family law practice, with experience in both the Ontario and Superior Courts, high conflict separation and divorce proceedings.  She is authorized to be a Collaborative Family Law professional in Ontario.

Before joining Wood Gold LLP, Leah articled for a government organization as part of the Ministry of the Attorney General.  While articling, Leah carried a heavy litigation caseload and worked on matters in the Ontario, Superior and Appeal levels of court.

Leah obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa.  During law school, she worked at West End Legal Services, a legal aid clinic, a spot for which she competed and won.  At West End Legal Services, Leah advocated for clients with disabilities who could not afford counsel before the Social Benefits Tribunal. She was also involved in Reach Canada, Ecojustice, and Pro Bono Students of Ontario.  When she graduated, she was awarded the Social Justice Option with her degree, and was honoured with the Dean’s Award for excellence.  Leah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen’s University and during law school, she studied abroad at the University of Puerto Rico.  Leah served on the Board of Directors for the Peel Law Association. Leah was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012 and is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

When Leah is not practicing law and meeting clients at our Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto offices, she enjoys time with her family, rock climbing and reading science fiction.
