Margaret Teixeira is an associate of Wood Gold LLP and practices Family Law, Criminal Law, and Wills.
Margaret obtained her law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. She received a number of awards, which include Torts I and II, Civil Procedure, Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Litigation, Commercial Law, Business Administration, and Trial Simulation. Prior to that, Margaret graduated with an Honours degree in Criminology and Employment Relations from University of Toronto. She completed her accreditation and articling, and was called to the bar in 2012.
Margaret frequently appears before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice for Family Law and Criminal Law. She has conducted trials and bail hearings. She is a member of the Peel Law Association and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Margaret is committed to helping others and looks forward to ensuring clients’ needs are met, with a particular interest in resolving these needs using alternative dispute resolution methods such as negotiation, mediation and collaborative family law. Margaret will assess each client’s needs and determine the appropriate means of resolution.
When she is not at the office, Margaret enjoys parenting her children and speaking the ancient language of Aramaic.
